Sebastian Hincks
In ‘98 I did my first full season working as a ski technician living in Perisher. I had a borrowed Hi 8 camera and on my days off videoed my mates skiing and boarding. I had a knack and passion for video and photography and the next summer I met Randy Wieman (who owns Hot Shots Photography & Video in Thredbo). In 2000 I began working for him as a videographer and later photographer.
I have returned almost every year, missing 2 while helping raise our daughter. Outside of winter I professionally video everything from weddings to surfing.
I’m a big kid myself and love to tinker, I’m into radio controlled toys and found myself putting spy cameras on my cars and helicopter, the footage was terrible but a lot of fun.
I wanted a way to incorporate helmet camera’s into my business and with our daughter now old enough to ski, my partner and I figured it would be a good excuse to move to the snow and make available, what is now DVD quality, wearable camera’s.
During summer 2009/10 I managed and operated Hot Shots.
